Chelmsford City Council will shortly start collecting small WEEE (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment) with your green box. The new service starts on 24 September and the Council asks residents to place their small WEEE appliances in a plastic carrier bag inside their green box by 7am on collection day.
In spite of the exam boards' uncertainty over grade boundaries, Bedford Borough has seen outstanding progress in provisional GCSE results this year - bucking the national trend. Overall results for 5 A*-C GCSE's (including English and Mathematics) for Bedford Borough Schools is 60.1% compared to 54.5% in 11/12 - this is a 5.6% improvement.

LGBT+ Lib Dems have responded to the Scottish Government's Call for Evidence for the Marriage and Civil Partnerships (Scotland) Bill. The Call for Evidence closes on Friday 23rd August, and seeks opinions on particular aspects of the legislation. LGBT+ Lib Dems will be working with the Scottish Liberal Democrats to ensure that the Scottish Bill reflects Liberal Democrat party policy for equal marriage as closely as possible.
