NEW HEAD OF SCHOOL FEDERATION Sue Cooke, site head at Stiperstones School will take over as the new head of the Chirbury and Stiperstones Schools Federation from later on this month. I'm sure she will make a superb head. Tim Roberts the Headmaster of Chirbury School (and the first head of the Federation) will be retiring after 27 years. We all wish him well in his retirement. PLANNING. Following the refusal of planning permission for two houses near the Methodist Church in Snailbeach, the developer has now appealed. This will be heard by Planning Inspectorate and all comments already made by residents will be taken into consideration. The matter will also be discussed by Worthen and Shelve Parish Council at their next meeting in Stiperstones School on 28th July. ROADS A recent cash injection by the Government to Shropshire's roads budget has is beginning a difference on some of the major roads through our area.
