Lynne Featherstone, the Lib Dem MP for Hornsey & Wood Green and Equalities Minister, has launched a new initiative from the Government Equalities Office to solicit input and feedback from the trans community. On her website, Lynne says "Trans issues are often quite distinct and we recognise the need for some of those issues to be addressed separately. To make sure we really deliver for the trans community, we need to know how you think we should be progressing the agenda."

Many residents have been shocked to hear of the decision made by the Tory administration running Brentwood Council to either demolish ALL the Town Hall of 87% of it. The building is the borough's most valuable asset and has been a major landmark in the town since it was opened by HM The Queen in 1953.
Whilst there may be a coalition government at Westminster, there certainly isn't one in Brentwood where the Liberal Democrats provide the only serious opposition to the Tories.
