Councillor slams council over road casualty numbers

Barnet had the highest number of road deaths in London last year, according to figures obtained by the Liberal Democrats. According to a study published by Transport for London, 14 people lost their lives as a result of accidents - more than in any other London borough.

Park Ward councillors act on illegal parking

During a Saturday Wolves home match Cllr Robin Lawrence and Cllr Claire Darke found cars parked on the grass verges round the West Park. Robin said "There are double yellow lines on the road at this point so it just as much an offence to park on the grass verge as on the road."Claire observed that the verges were being turned into a mud bath and it was quite wrong for football supporters to spoil a beautiful area in this way.
