Hinckley Lib Dem Councillors David Bill and Michael Mullaney are calling for the green space called "The Paddock" off Coventry Road in Hinckley to be saved. The Paddock is subject to a planning application, which if passed would see it built on. Cllrs David Bill and Michael Mullaney have written a joint statement to the Council's Planning Department urging rejection of plans to build on The Paddock. Their submission said "In line with the stand taken by residents and their elected represntatives for the last 15 years, we again wish to object to the proposal to build on this site as it is the last remaining stretch of original countryside remaining in the Coventry Road area." The decision on the application will be taken at Tuesday's meeting of Hinckley and Bosworth Planning Committee
