Folkestone Town Council is taking action on cleaning up Folkestone Town Centre with a "deep clean" in time for summer. The Town Council has engaged with Ramora Ltd, a specialist industrial cleaning company with a proven track record in the removal of chewing gum and grime using steam clean techniques and no chemical agents.
The Liberal Democrats on Shepway District Council have put a motion to Shepway Full Council on 22nd July calling for Shepway to work with other to lobby southeastern trains to retain direct peak time services from Folkestone to Charing Cross following the introduction on new services to St Pancras in December.

The Lib Dems received massive ovations from the crowds as we were The First of the Political parties in the parade , spurred on by 80s Pop music blasting out from our UK flagged Mini, driven by Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Dave Raval, meant that the crowd joined in the festivities as our activists handed out flyers and sweets along the route.
An independent survey of social housing allocation explodes the myth that new immigrants jump the queue for social housing. The research, commissioned by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, found that less than 2 per cent of social housing tenants had arrived in the UK within the past five years, while the proportion of those born abroad living in social housing was almost identical to the proportion of social tenants born in the UK.
