News from Rosemary Bootiman and Michael Headley- Local Cllrs for Putnoe

New classrooms are to be built at schools serving Putnoe this year as part of Dave Hodgson's commitment to replace all temporary classrooms with permanent buildings. Phase 1, planned for this year includes Hazeldene Lower and Newnham Middle. Other schools, such as The Hills Lower, Mark Rutherford, St Thomas More and many more wider afield will follow in the next few years.

AONB petition for Westbury White Horse Area

The White Horse Alliance are running a campaign to make the lovely area near the Westbury White Horse into an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Despite rebuffs by government planning inspectors Wiltshire Council is threatening to have another go at getting an eastern bypass for Westbury, which would be driven over those hills and valleys.

Chelmsford market bus stops improve; local action on parking

After nearly two years of pressure, major refurbishment work is now being undertaken at the bus stops next to Chelmsford market. A resident of The Avenues has been pursuing senior managers at Chelmsford Council to get the work done, and has been backed by Cllr. Stephen Robinson.
