Dundee East Liberal Democrat parliamentary spokesperson Clive Sneddon has today (Saturday 11th November) welcomed the recent Liberal Democrat research which shows that Dundee is doing better than the UK as a whole in keeping down the carbon emissions that feed climate change, but is still emitting more than three times as much carbon dioxide as the global average.
Cllr Fraser Macpherson, Dundee West End Liberal Democrat councillor, has today (Saturday 11th November) launched a second version of his FOCUS newsletter edition 53, covering all other parts of the West End.

Shepway Council has rejected a planning application in Valebrook Close, Cheriton. Planning permission had been sought for the erection of two detached dwelling houses with integral garages on a site adjacent to 65 Valebook Close.

This week saw the Republicans lose control of both the US Senate and House of Representatives, reacting to these mid-term results President George Bush has sacked Donald Rumsfeld as Defence Secretary. Commenting Sir Menzies Campbell, Leader of the Liberal Democrats, said "Donald Rumsfeld has paid the price for a policy of which he was the principal architect and whose implementation has been disastrous."
