At a meeting on 23rd Nov, seven local groups in Lemington told of their recent successes. Their work has been supported by grant aid from the Lemington Ward Committee. Representatives from the Lemington Centre, Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, Sea Cadets, Over 60's Club, Snowy Owls and Junior Football Club described their work and the events and activities they have provided.

Over 27,000 young people turned out to vote in this year's Kent Youth County Council elections. There were 145 polling stations at schools and youth centres and the elected members have now been chosen for each district.
