Charles Kennedy MP, Leader of the Liberal Democrats, launched the Liberal Democrats campaign to win the votes of students at the General Election today. In a speech to students at the London School of Economics, Charles stressed the importance of the student vote, and particularly its role in deciding the results in a number of key seats.
Norman Baker MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Environment Secretary, commenting on the Climate Change conference being held today at the Hadley Centre in Exeter, said:

Students from a number of local schools and Woking College itself listened to him explain why the Liberal Democrats were concentrating on issues such as free tuition for students, free personal care for the elderly and safeguarding the environment for future generations.
