An eight month campaign to save Hinckley's Ambulance Station has ended successfully. A meeting of the East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) Board this morning agreed to back plans to have 28 Hubs and Ambulance Stations in the East Midlands including an Ambulance Station in Hinckley. This follows an eight month campaign to save the Ambulance Station, since last July, when EMAS first proposed to close it.

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has called on local residents to email him a picture of the worst pothole in their area. Tim plans to give all the pictures to the county council and demand that they fix our roads!
