Worthen Areas Issues The road closure has taken up a lot of everybody's lives recently. The end is now however, is in sight. They hope to be finished on the main road and starting on the side roads by 30th/31stOctober. I will be sent a programme of work for the side roads and will circulate it to all those I have emails for as soon as I have it (e-mail me on heather.kidd@shropshire.gov.uk if you would like to be added to the list.). The other good news is that those who have applied for business compensation have found the process quick and easy and are pleased with the payments. The Rea Bridge on the Leigh road will be closed for 2 days starting on 26th November as workmen carry out repair to the parapet. It will be closed from 9 am to 3.30 pm each day. I have started delivering 30 mph stickers for wheelie bins in Brockton and will finish Worthen as soon as possible. The idea is to remind traffic to stick to the limit every time you put the bin out. Tring Brewery Tour Raises £800 for Tring Mayor's Charity for the Year - Iain Rennie Grove House Hospices
With all the ticket money in, a mystery donor contributing the cost of the fish and chips and the brewery covering its own costs for the evening, the event made £800 towards Iain Rennie Grove House Hospices.

NHS plans under the 'Healthier Together' review of hospital services in the South East Midlands could mean downgrading for Bedford Hospital and a reduced A&E role, no trauma unit, no emergency surgery, no complex surgery and no obstetrics for high risk births.
