MP welcomes news that Mountain Goat take on Windermere TIC
Windermere's MP Tim Farron has welcomed the news that the town's tourist information centre (TIC) has been taken over by local business Mountain Goat Tours. Tim said this news was down to the 'fantastic work of Councillor Chris Hogg and South Lakeland District Council.

Fire Station Closures
The Merseyside Fire Service is proposing to close West Kirby and Upton Fire Stations and build a new fire station where the library and children's centre are on Frankby Road, Greasby. The only alternative that they have offered is the outright closure of West Kirby Fire Station.
