The sheer quantity of raw sewage being dumped into Britain’s rivers and coastal areas is a scandal and a disgrace.
Commenting on the raising of the Personal Allowance further than already planned, Cllr Mike Mackrory, Leader of the Opposition on Essex County Council, said:
A Local Councillor is furious that vandalised parking signs have not been replaced. The signs in Cricklewood Lane NW2 were apparently vandalised in November 2012. Cllr Jack Cohen says he was promised by the Council that they would be replaced in January but nothing has been done. Cllr Cohen says "The parking regulations cannot be enforced for as long as the signs remain in this condition. This is probably costing the Council a lot of money. Local residents who have paid for permits are let down because everyone else can now park for free."
Figures released by the County Council in January 2013 have revealed that there are just 1200 pre-school places across the entire county, despite a target requirement of 4000 by September 2014. Failure to recruit organisations to provide the places has already lead to the criteria having to be amended. This Tory failure is letting down parents trying to get back to work.

Ofsted have published a report in which it has recognised Bedford Borough Council's "decisive action" in providing more resources to the safeguarding of children, stating that the Council is 'doing what is required to keep children and young people safe'.
Lib Dem campaigner Graham Pooley has gained a seat on Chelmsford council, winning the Broomfield & Walthams by-election held on Tuesday 19th February. He won the vacancy caused by the death of veteran councillor Delmas Ashford.
