Lib Dem County Councillors David Kendall and Barry Aspinell are celebrating the news that the 73 Evening bus service, that runs between Pilgrims Hatch and Warley via the High Street, has been saved after a long running campaign and a petition signed by over 200 bus users and residents.
The story of a third person being incorrectly paid by Kent County Council (this time with overpayments totalling £21,000) has been reported today by the BBC.
As reported in the Daily Mail, the Telegraph, and Chronicle News Group the Conservative led Essex County Council have racked up spending over over £5 million in just 2 years on credit cards. Spending was on a diverse array of items including underwear, make-up, pizza, theatre tickets, 5 star hotels and trips to a golf club.
Commenting on the reports of the re-introduction of O-Levels, Co-Chair of the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Party Committee on Education, Dan Rogerson said:
