Sewage in our Rivers

The sheer quantity of raw sewage being dumped into Britain’s rivers and coastal areas is a scandal and a disgrace.

Badgers

In October 1979 Peter Walker, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, commissioned a friendly scientist, Solly Zuckerman, to look into the problem of badgers and bovine tuberculosis. At the time 'New Scientist' said that the Zuckerman report, "Should at least provide Mr Walker with a solid base to build a long-term policy in place of the present vagueness, vacillation and myopia."
