Campaigners have welcomed Leicestershire Fire Authority's decision to defer its plans to cut by eight the number of Firefighters based in Hinckley. At a meeting this afternoon members of the Fire Authority decided to delay the decision for six months.
Commenting on today's Pre-Budget Report, Michael Mullaney, Liberal Democrat parliamentary spokesman for Hinckley and Bosworth, said:
