Cllr David Kendall visited the newly pedestrianised Crown Street this weekend. Cllr Kendal has worked with the Borough ward members, CrownStreet retailers and officers to deliver the part pedestrianisation of Crown Street. During that time we have: * Held a number of onsite meetings to discuss various aspects of the scheme. * Lobbied for funding to make it happen. * Spoken up at various meetings in support of the scheme. * Liased regularly with some of the retailers and residents on certain aspects of the scheme. * Kept pushing for the scheme to happen. * Taken up serious concerns about the lack of signage when the scheme was installed. He said "This is a great example of different people working together to deliver a scheme that provides a much safer environment for pedestrians and a more enjoyable shopping experience.
