The Merseyside Fire Service is proposing to close West Kirby and Upton Fire Stations and build a new fire station where the library and children's centre are on Frankby Road, Greasby. Initially the only alternative that they have offered was the outright closure of West Kirby Fire Station and the redevelopment of Upton Fire Station.
