Transport Minister asked questions about Blue Badge by Annette Brooke MP
Annette Brooke, MP for Mid Dorset and North Poole, yesterday asked Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State Norman Baker about national guidelines for blue badges during Transport Oral Questions. Annette asked the question as she currently has difficulty walking and getting in and out of cars following an accident. It is not presently possible to get temporary blue badges, and Annette asked what the Government and local authorities could do in the future to address this problem.

Good evening, Ladies & Gentleman of Fareham, like many people involved in public life I wear a number of hats, I'm an Eastleigh Borough Councillor, I'm Chair at West End Parish Council, a Bitterne Park School Governor, a Southampton Advice & Representation board member, I'm the Partnership for Urban South Hampshire's scrutiny committee Chair. Join the Fight to Protect Bedford Hospital from Downgrading and Severe Service Cuts
As you have probably heard through the local media, NHS plans threaten key services at Bedford Hospital, which could be downgraded and changed out of all recognition. The NHS's 'Healthier Together' review of hospital services in the South East Midlands area has announced that just two models for services across the five hospitals in the area should go forward for further consideration. Both of them represent drastic cuts in the range of services at two hospitals, with the other three essentially protected.

Farron praises Tate for putting on major Schwitters exhibition
South Lakes MP Tim Farron has praised the Tate gallery for putting on the first major exhibition to examine the work of former Lakes resident Kurt Schwitters, one of the major artists of European Modernism. In an exhibition called Schwitters in Britain running from 30 January - 12 May 2013 in London.
