New survey shows ministers failing to get to grips with NHS reforms - Webb
Responding to a survey in the Health Service Journal which shows that 75% of NHS bosses say patient care will suffer because of the current cash crisis, Steve Webb MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Health Secretary, said "The cash crisis in the NHS is clearly spiraling out of control and ministers show no sign of getting to grips with the problem."

Minister confirms unfairness of Council Tax
New facts confirming the unfairness of Council Tax have been revealed in Parliament by the Paymaster General, Dawn Primarolo MP. Asked by the Liberal Democrat Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary, David Laws to reveal how much people pay in Council Tax as a percentage of their income, Ms Primarolo confirmed what we have been saying for ages: that the Council Tax penalizes the poorest!

Sir Menzies Campbell calls for Blair statement on extraordinary rendition
Sir Menzies Campbell MP, Liberal Democrat Acting Leader, has today written to the Prime Minister calling on him to make a statement to the House of Commons clarifying what the Government knew about the CIA's extraordinary rendition operations.
