Cllr Fraser Macpherson, Liberal Democrat Convener of Finance on Dundee City Council, has welcomed the City Council's "The Spotlight's on Benefit Fraud" initiative, to help ensure that benefits, including Housing and Council Tax Benefits administered by the City Council, are paid to those rightly entitled to them and help stamp out benefit fraud. Kent Ambulance Service is pleading with people to stop sending out a terrifying hoax email about the dangers of hypodermic needles being planted in cinema seats. The email has reached epidemic proportions, and because it it had been forwarded in good faith but mistakenly by a member of Kent Ambulance Service it appears genuine.
