        The sheer quantity of raw sewage being dumped into Britain’s rivers and coastal areas is a scandal and a disgrace.
After scores of complaints about the new tenancy agreement for allotments, the borough council has officially apologised for the mix up and agreed that the new agreement doesn't need to be signed for 2009.

Liberal Democrats are demanding that both sides of this distorted equation be changed.
 
                
        
        Residents from Brentwood and beyond enthusiastically welcomed the direct action taken by the Liberal Democrat team today, as hundreds of residents signed our petition against the introduction of Town Hall Car Parking charges and increases in the cost of parking in Brentwood.
The reaction of the minister, who was a firm supporter of Tony Blair, spoke volumes about the effect of the new 50p rate for those on salaries of £150,000 or more on the Labour party.
At the eleventh hour and for no specific reason, the council has decided to postpone the Public Meeting arranged for 29th April. Lib Dem councillors did not agree with the decision.
