The long standing damage to the Whittery Bridge near Chirbury looks like finally being repaired according to local Councillor Heather Kidd. Heather said "At long last we have had notification from the council that the bridge will be repaired shortly. It was hit by a large vehicle last year which sent one part of the parapet into the river. Last winters rough weather sent even more over the side. As a result the bridge has been marked by safely bollards for the last 8 or 9 months.
