The excellent political monthly Prospect has published an opinion piece that we hope will bring LVT to a wider audience. Written by Phillippe Legrain, who is to bring out a book "Afershock: reshaping the world economy after the crisis" in May, it gives a brief overview of the economic and social justice arguement. Nick Clegg, leader of the Liberal Democrats, has written an open letter to the readers of PinkPaper.com. In it, he calls for more cross-party consensus on LGBT equality, and a commitment from all parties to tackle homophobic and transphobic bullying in schools. He also highlight's the party's Out To Win network, which supports LGBT Lib Dem candidates at all levels of election.
I don't blame Amber...If my party's Shadow Chancellor had performed as poorly as George Osborne did in Monday's Channel 4 debate between the three would-be Chancellors, then I too would be tempted to write my weekly column about a trip on the East Hill Lift rather than the key economic choices that face the country.
