New Conservative Shropshire Councillors Failing To Provide Value For Money
New Conservative Shropshire Council Councillors seem to be enjoying the financial benefits without apparently putting in the work. It would seem that the new development control feel that they can ignore the fact that planning is facing huge backlogs. Out of 11 councillors only half turned up for the July meeting! Cllr Wynne puts this down to it being summer, but isn't the recess in August?

Land based Wind Turbines get thumbs up from Lib Dems
Island Liberal Democrats agreed last evening to support proposals for land based wind turbines on the Island. Experts gave presentations to party members on wind, wave, hydro, solar, gasification and anaerobic digesters. Members also supported the idea that the Island could be an unparalleled centre of excellence for research, development, experimentation and implementation of renewable energy systems.

Mr Davey spoke to Dave about the key issues for the by-election campaign, and heard about Dave's priorities for supporting the local economy, improving local roads, tackling crime and protecting the environment, before hitting the campaign trail and meeting local residents in Bedford.
