Iain Dale is Wrong on supporting Phil Woolas
Conservative blogger Iain Dale has made the case (http://iaindale.blogspot.com/2010/11/why-ive-donated-to-phil-woolas-appeal.html) that Phil Woolas, the disgraced and hopefully soon to be ex-MP for Oldham East and Saddleworth, has been unreasonably treated by the law. He's even sent £100 towards Mr Woolas' legal costs to mount a Judicial Review.

And over the past few years we have had endless consultations on how to pay for providing care to the vulnerable in our society at one point the Labour Government had a consultation on what should go into a consultation document!

Lib Dem Ministers already acting on Conference's unanimous support of LVT Motion
The Liberal Democrats' South Central Region Conference on 30th October at Oxford Brookes University voted unanimously to support a Motion proposed by ALTER Hon Sec Dr David Cooper, which called for Land-value Taxation to be more strongly pushed by Lib Dems in Government, as a solution to the housing crisis. Not one person spoke against the motion.
