Bus shelter in Waterson Vale, Chelmsford - Mark Springett reports

A new bus shelter has been installed in Waterson Vale, south Chelmsford by the Queen Bee pub. It follows a great deal of lobbying by previous Moulsham Lodge Councillor Philip Firth. Said Cllr Mark Springett, "The bus stop here is a bit in the open with nowhere to shelter, which is why we had been campaigning to get one installed. Thank you Essex County Council for doing it before the new financial year."

Cumbrian MP Tim Farron has today congratulated South Lakeland District Council on landing a half-a-billion pound investment to Ulverston. Tim has heralded the investment by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) as a major sign of business confidence in the South Lakes.

Low response could give green light to transport cuts

Leicestershire County Council is currently consulting on proposals to reduce or cut public transport in Leicestershire for students, the disabled and the elderly, which could go ahead if too few people respond to the Consultation, according to the opposition Liberal Democrat group.
