Labour misled Britain over Iraq role in terror threat

Commenting on Eliza Manningham-Buller's evidence to the Chilcot Inquiry, in which she said the conflict in Iraq 'substantially' increased the threat to the UK from international terrorism, Co-Chair of the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence, Tim Farron said "This is a shattering blow for Labour's claim that the Iraq war did not increase the terrorist threat to Britain."

Kent Trading Standards have received reports of men selling shrink wrapped flat screen TV's from the back of a truck in the Folkestone and surrounding areas. Their information suggests that the sellers have no fixed address.

Trading Standards Alert: Scam mailings

Kent Trading Standards are warning of a scam mail being sent out telling people that they have won a substantial amount of money and that all they have to do is to order an item from a brochure enclosed with mailing. They are then promised that the cheque will be in the post. They won't. THIS IS A SCAM.

Lib Dem party membership grew by a remarkable 14% in the first half of this year, according to official figures released by the party in England. Thousands of new members have joined the party since the election and the coalition agreement was reached, with the party also having greater success in retaining current members than in previous years.
