Erb’s Palsy Baby Sakina Ahmed Refused Treatment Over Family’s Immigration Status
An eight month old baby girl, Sakina Ahmed from Southsea in Hampshire, has Erb's Palsy. For those who don't know, this is paralysis of an arm, caused by nerve damage. Usually, as in Sakina's case, this nerve damage is caused by a difficult birth.

Words failed County Councillor Nick Hollinghurst when he received the following e-mail. So he reproduced it as sent to him unchanged, typo and all. He has, however, to placate the angry Executive Member of Highways, Cllr Stuart Pile, now removed the name and contact details of the Head of Customer Services (which the officer himself published in the county's e-mail apology).
