Mayor Dave Hodgson has welcomed employers exhibiting at The Jobs Market at Bedford Corn Exchange, which is open until 3pm today (Wednesday 10th September). Last year's event saw more than 1,200 members of the public attend over the course of the five hours, making direct contact with the 34 employers represented, alongside a number of training providers and information support services. More than 1,000 job opportunities were available on the day, resulting in more than 300 claimants signing-off after the event, and it is hoped that this year's event will be similarly successful.
