Action at Glentworth Gardens and Kirmond Walk
Wolverhampton Homes have informed Councillor Robin Lawrence and Zahid Shah that they will carry out much needed work in the Glentworth Gardens area. Councillor Robin Lawrence met local residents to listen to their concerns. Following that meeting he and Zahid Shah ensured that litter in Kirmond Walk was cleared up and a dirty and overgrown alleyway behind a row of houses was cleared and cleaned.

Conservative education policy will destroy local accountability for schools
For anyone with children, worries about which school they will attend will often be a key issue in any discussion about their futures. We all want a good school for our child. Too often politicians' talk of 'choice', when all parents want is a high quality local school. The problem with choice is that some schools will under achieve, leaving children stuck in poor performing schools, whilst others will be oversubscribed leaving disappointed parents. We need all schools to be of a high standard, rather than have a marketplace where those that are lucky, or can afford to go private, get a good school.

Tory attack on Evan Harris's secularism
Baroness Warsi, Shadow Social Action Minister, announced at the Conservative Party conference that there has been "a growing intolerance and illiberal attitude towards those who believe in God," blaming BHA Vice President and Lib Dem MP Dr Evan Harris MP for "driving this secular agenda" into the public sector.
