The sheer quantity of raw sewage being dumped into Britain’s rivers and coastal areas is a scandal and a disgrace.
Last week Antony Wood, the Lib Dem Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, campaigned in Windsor Town to try and prevent the proposed closure of the St Leonards Road and Dedworth Road Post Offices. At a Council meeting on Tuesday he continued this opposition by seconding a motion from Cllr Jeremy Hyde (Liberal Democrat) calling for these closures to be stopped.
Figures released recently by Transport Minister, Tony McNulty, show that car parking income in the South Hams has increased by a massive 83% since 1997, the highest increase in Devon. At last nights group meeting of the Shepway Liberal Democrats, Cllr Linda Cufley resigned as the leader of the group. Members of the group have the greatest respect for Linda, and for all the work she has done over the last 21 years for both this district and her colleagues.
